Worten’s digital systems were scattered. This made work more difficult and time-consuming for users, delaying faster growth.
Their goal? To build a centralized, user-friendly platform that brings everything together by:

Worten is a leading retail chain in Portugal, specializing in consumer electronics, technology, and entertainment. The company offers a wide range of products, including home appliances, mobile phones, televisions, and computers, available both in physical stores and online. Recognized for its innovative approach and comprehensive shopping experience, Worten aims to meet customer needs by offering excellent service and advanced tech solutions, positioning it as a trusted brand for millions of Portuguese. Worten is continually seeking ways to streamline its internal processes and central management systems.
Ruption's Strategic Approach
In order to address the challenges faced by Worten, Ruption developed and implemented a centralized business portal designed to unify core business operations, streamline approval processes, and integrate data flows, all within a modular and scalable architecture.
This initiative represented more than just a platform. It was a comprehensive digital transformation.
🛠️ Modular Factory Approach:
We split the platform into multiple independent modules, each developed as a separate project to meet specific business needs. Despite the separation, all modules followed a shared architectural “factory model,” enabling the reuse of components and logic across
the entire solution. This approach has resulted in enhanced
consistency, efficiency, and maintainability.
🔗 Middleware for Smart Integration:
To integrate the new front-end with Worten’s existing systems, we developed a custom middleware layer. This integration has enabled seamless communication between platforms, managed complex approval workflows, and ensured reliable data flow across the business.
🤝 Dedicated Teams, Aligned Delivery:
At the height of the project, three Tech Leads were overseeing the development teams, ensuring a highly coordinated delivery process. Some teams had as many as three developers, while others were
more compact, but all operated under a shared vision. This alignment enabled us to treat separate modules as a unified product.
🚀 Future-Ready Architecture:
Each technical decision was made with scalability and flexibility in mind. The solution has been developed to be scalable and adaptable to new processes, ensuring its continued relevance as business needs evolve.
With a strong Agile methodology, we were able to run up to four squads simultaneously, each with a Tech Lead and dedicated developers. This structure gave us the flexibility and alignment needed to deliver multiple business modules efficiently, without compromising on quality. A complex, multi-module challenge met with strategic architecture and collaborative delivery. This project showcases the strength of the Ruption and Worten partnership."
